My buddy Adam and I strolled into the Alpine Meadows side-country on the last day of 2009 to see what we could find. Well, we found plenty. And after post-holing up to our chests to re-hit a few things, we were able to get a whopping 2 runs in 6 hours. Of course damn near half of our little video edit is from Adam skiing in bounds at Alpine, but there was still great snow in bounds! Our last run was through the Buttress. We poked around and lined up some nice cliffs all while listening to Truckee Tribe blasting solid tunes from the Alpine base area. I ended the day by skiing right down in front of the band and lamely attempting to dance with skis on. Not a bad way to end the day.
