Plenty of Sunshine at Alpine

0 Comments 08 December 2012

A ridge of high pressure is parked off the coast keeping away the storms and providing us with plenty of sunshine through the beginning of next week. There is lots of snow up high to enjoy this opening weekend from the storms last weekend.

The ridge of high pressure will begin to move back away from the coast next week allowing cold air to come down from the North accompanied by light snowfall. We could see this happen next Wednesday and again next Friday.

Then beginning the week of the 17th we could see the high pressure move further off the coast allowing the storms to pick up more moisture off the Pacific before hitting the West Coast. As of right now it looks like we could see some good cold snow storms that week leading up to the Christmas Holiday. Stay tuned. BA
