On Saturday, Oct. 2, VIPs from Alpine Meadows joined Alpine Meadows’ owners and management team for the penultimate game of the San Francisco Giants’ regular season vs. the San Diego Padres. With beautiful weather in the Bay Area that day, and huge stakes – the Giants needed one win out of their last two games to clinch the division – the crowd was treated to an exciting, but ultimately disappointing game, as the Giants rallied late, but failed to overcome the Padres’ early 4-0 lead.
Eventually, Giants fans got their celebration, as the Giants went on to win their final regular season game 3-0, sending them into the playoffs to face the Atlanta Braves.
Alpine would like to thank all the fans who stopped by our Alpine Meadows/Homewood booth in Willie Mays Plaza over the final three-game home stand at AT&T Park, and especially our VIP guests who joined us inside the stadium on Saturday.
