I AM Alpine

I am Relentless

0 Comments 20 January 2010

I live on the east coast and ride the Sierras, Cascades or Rockies at least once or twice a year. I’ve had few true powder days during these trips over the last 8 years. The best one though was at Alpine Meadows. A storm dropped at least a foot the night before. My buddies and I decided to hike along Ward Peak (I think). At first I was reluctant to hike anywhere, just because I didn’t know. I learned quickly after we dropped-in to knee deep fresh. I took no turns, just pointing it, ballin’, effortless…

It’s always in the back of my mind when I book the next trip out west. I am relentlessly tracking the weather before I go, hoping that my next stop anywhere will be a repeat of my Alpine Meadows Moment.
