During the past week, Alpine Meadows has received more than 5 feet of snow on its mountaintop. That’s pretty cool. Actually, that’s downright staggering. For all those skiers and riders who might be thinking about a visit, now is the time.
The two massive weather systems that parked above the peaks of Alpine from Friday, December 12 to Friday, December 19 packed a Sierra-style punch to the mountain and allowed for some of the best terrain to become available for this weekend.
The sunny powder day forecast for Saturday, December 20 just may be one for the books – you know the kind… the kind of day you never want to end; and you perpetuate in your memory bank labeled “Best Days Ever”.
Powder on, people.
